An Italian Studies Scholarly Blog
Transferiscomi poi in su la strada nell’osteria, parlo con quelli che passano, dimando delle nuove de’ paesi loro, intendo varie cose, e noto varii gusti e diverse fantasie d’uomini. Niccolò Machiavelli to Francesco Vettori, 10th December 1513
We believe our research will benefit from the contribution of external perspectives, which will link up with our own work and will open up for us new horizons. We are seeking questions, more than answers.
We want to put the results of our studies together, glean ideas from books and address scholars of various disciplines in order to question them and query our own views.
We want to be concise. We will not write full articles and essays, but rather share ideas, problems and considerations. Then we will put on our courtly garments and return to our research in our libraries and in our studies.
